Dr. Jan H. Schuur is the founder and managing director of rimpido GmbH, a consulting company specializing in SAP Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Product Compliance. Academic Background
Dr. Schuur studied chemistry at the Universities of Würzburg, Göttingen, Munich, and Erlangen-Nuremberg. In 1998, he received his doctorate in natural sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. His thesis dealt with the coding of molecular 3D structures and their application in IR-spectra simulations and QSAR studies. Earlier, he completed his diploma thesis on the enzymatic transformation of lignin models at the University of Göttingen. Because of this strong academic foundation, he developed a deep understanding of scientific data and analytical methods, which later supported his work in SAP EHS and data modelling.
Professional Career
Dr. Schuur began his professional career in 1998 as a SAP EHS Consultant at TechniData GmbH. From 2000 to 2011, he served as Project Leader for SAP EHS and SAP Product and REACH Compliance. During this time, he managed many complex implementation and rollout projects. In April 2011, he founded rimpido GmbH, an independent consulting company dedicated to SAP EHS solutions. The company has grown steadily and today supports international customers from various industries. In addition, between 2018 and 2019, he also established rimpido Pacific Inc., expanding the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region. As a result, his international experience now covers both European and Asian markets.
