4. Data Collection on This Website
Language Preference and Cookies
When you select a language using the language switcher, the cookie rimpido_lang_pref stores only the value en or de for up to 30 days. This preference may also be saved when you open the confirmation link for a contact inquiry so that the confirmation appears in the language of your request. The cookie contains no individual visitor identifier and is not used for analytics or advertising. An automatic redirect based on your browser’s language setting does not itself set this cookie. When you open a language-specific URL directly, that URL determines the displayed language.
The cookie is used to provide and retain the requested language setting. Storage is based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG; the related processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in providing the language selected for the website or inquiry. You can delete the cookie in your browser settings. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.
Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, the information you provide, including the contact details entered there, will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.
We only share this data where necessary to handle your request, for example with our hosting and email provider, or where required by law.
Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), if requested.
The data entered in the contact form remains with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies.
Mandatory statutory provisions, especially retention periods, remain unaffected.
Email Confirmation and Spam Protection
The contact form collects your name, email address and message. Before your inquiry is forwarded to our team, we send a confirmation link to the email address you supplied. The link is valid for 48 hours. While awaiting confirmation, the website temporarily stores your submission, its language, the submission time and a confirmation token. The temporary submission is deleted after it has been successfully forwarded to our team. If forwarding temporarily fails, you can open the confirmation link again while it remains valid. Unconfirmed submissions expire after 48 hours and are removed by the website’s expired-data cleanup.
Emails are sent using IONOS. The confirmation and acknowledgment emails serve solely to process your inquiry; they do not subscribe you to a newsletter. To prevent abuse, we use a hidden form field, a time check and a server-side request counter with a pseudonymous key derived from your IP address. The limit is three requests per 15 minutes. The counter expires after 15 minutes from its latest update. No external CAPTCHA service is loaded.
Confirmation and spam protection are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are preventing misuse of the form and ensuring that inquiries originate from the stated email address.
Contact by Email or Telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed for the purpose of handling your request.
The data sent to us via contact inquiries remains with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies.
Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Job Applications
If you apply by email to bewerbung@rimpido.com, we process the contact details, application documents and other information you provide to carry out the recruitment process and decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal bases are Section 26(1) BDSG and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Access is limited to persons who need the information for recruitment and the service providers involved in operating our IT and email systems.
If your application is unsuccessful or withdrawn, we delete your application data when it is no longer needed, and no later than six months after the recruitment process has ended. Retention during this period to establish, exercise or defend legal claims is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. A longer period applies only where a specific legal obligation or an ongoing legal dispute requires it; the data is then restricted to that purpose. If an employment relationship is established, the information required for that relationship is transferred to the personnel file.
